Joshua Member Michelle Holt Visits with Toby Mac
Michelle was listening to the Nashville-based WAY FM station from her home in Grand Rapids, Michigan when she decided to enter the station-sponsored recipe contest. The winner of the contest would receive a tour of Gotee Records and a weekend with Toby Mac at his Nashville estate. After weeks of wondering about the results, Michelle received notice that she was one of the 5 finalists in the contest. A few days later the representatives at WAY FM called her to let her know that her Jerk Chicken and Potatoes dish was the winner. Toby himself called her up and let her know, "Girl, yo' chicken was da bomb!” She was able to take her son, Bryan Jr. (an avid Toby Mac fan) down to Nashville with her for the two-day excursion. Highlights of the trip included a tour of the WAY FM studios, a tour of Toby’s Gotee Records Studio, an afternoon at Toby’s house and, of course, dinner. "Amazing!" said Michelle of her recent trip. "[My son] Bryan will never forget this. This experience truly exceeded my expectations. What a great gift from God.”
