How
did you come to know that Jesus was God, Lord and Messiah?
I
accepted Christ at 11 years old at First Community Church. At the time the
church didn't differentiate joining church and accepting Christ. I
accepted Christ knowing I wanted and needed Him without really
understanding, but knowing that I loved Him (if that makes any sense). I
always wanted to know more and more about Him.
Tell
us a little bit about your background in Music Ministry.
I have
always enjoyed singing in the kid's and adult choirs. As I got older, I
liked Yolanda Adams and members of my family
—
they
would have to be my biggest influences. I like Christian contemporary,
praise and worship, and gospel.
What
do you believe is your spiritual gift? How have you used your gift to
edify the body of Christ?
I believe my gifts are mercy, exhortation, interceding, and discernment.
(I am pretty sure there are others, but there aren't any labels yet). I
have been involved in church choirs, intercessory prayer team, speaking
with young adults, praise and worship teams, and workshops for teens.
Tell
us a little bit more about what you enjoy.
I enjoy
reading and shopping.
Is
there anything else you would like to share about your life and family?
I
have two children, Nathaniel and Bryan, Jr. and a husband, Bryan, Sr.
What
do you like about being a part of Joshua?
I enjoy
being a part of a unique ministry. God calls us to be "unique" and a lot
of different gospel artists aren't unique at all. God wants His children
to stand out through His spirit to be bold about what we believe in, but
most artists cater to the world. They don't stand out because they don't
want to step on people's toes or offend anyone, and I am personally not
that way. Joshua will be bold and will not be ashamed of Christ because He
was not ashamed of us. |
